It just amazes me how many "intellectual" liberals think negotiating with terrorists will work. Israel tried it for years and Hezbollah just rearmed. What will take for these lib fools to wake up, or do they just hate America? Saddam funded suicide bombers in Palestine, threatened the USA, and Iraqis did attack us (WTC '93 regardless of what the ignoramuses say on the left.) They call defending America warmongering. The Moore clan (democrats) were even b!tching about the war in Afghanistan. So, why are democrats so weak on defense. With Lieberman gone as a democrat, this shows how much cowardice and intolerance has filtered into the DNC. Oh for the courage of JFK in a democrat. The problem is that the Democratic party has become so radical that it has completly abandoned its onld principles and ideals. It has become a party of radical liberals instead of the old moderate party. They are pro-gay marriage, they are pro-killing babies (abortion), they are anti-war, they are anti-American. It's true, any of the great Presidents of old would be blasphemed as warmongers by every member of the DNC if they were in Bush's position. The new Democrats are more concerned with one-upping Republicans than they are with actually doing what is best for America. They are weak on defense because Republicans are strong on defense. Yes, I think too many people think we're safe and free forever. Kinda dumb when you realize how quickly something can travel thousands of miles to attack you. First of all Democrats are not weak on defense just because they are against a war with people who did not attack us. If the war had stayed in Afghanistan and they kept looking for Bin Laden, no one would have complained. Even Bush and Rummy now admit there were NO WMDs. So why have all these innocent people died?. I always wanted to move to Israel and start a career there. My educational background is pretty strong and I want to work in banking (investment banking, private equity, wealth management etc) I just don't know how hard it is to land a job there, especially without connections. If I were to e-mail a bunch of companies and explain that I am a Jew in Canada looking to make the jump will they help me out? Are Israeli finance companies open to foreigners staffing their office or do they prefer Israelis. I'm fluent in english and french and my hebrew is 7/10 (if that matters)

To break into banking in Israel these days, one must be an "academic"; that is, one must at least be a university student (for the most low level banking postions) or have university degrees and experience. It's great that you already speak 2 foreign languages.(Eng. & Fr.). If you are seriously considering aliyah, do everything possible (courses, one-on-one tutoring, etc. ) to improve your Hebrew and become fluent before your arrrival. This broadens your employment possibilities. (Without fluent Hebrew, you are better off trying to find overseas jobs that you can do from Israel. To work in an Israeli banking framework, you'll need Hebrew.) Are you working in one of the fields that you mentioned? From your description, I assume you have the relevant academic degree(s) for your chosen career. Until you make aliyah, one logical step would be to contact Canadian branches of Israeli banks and try to get a job in your area. You will gain knowledge from the inside and also make connections that may help you to transfer eventually to an Israeli branch. My fiance has been authorized by the U.S. Consulate to come to the U.S. However, there is one stipulation - she must obtain a Police Certificate from the Israeli Government. She is a nurse and worked in Israel for 7-years there. She contacted a former employer and even relatives in Israel and no one seems to want to get involved. She does have a close friend of hers who has a relative who is an attorney and is hoping that he might be able to go to the Israeli Consulate in Manila with her to help her on her behalf. If this doesn't work, I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

best thing is not to buy the ps3 because if your TV is Pal it means it's refresh rate is 24 hertz and the ntsc ps3 will output images at 30 hertz so it will be out of sync. also Blur ray movies are nor region coded so those may work and the games should work to but any dvd's you own cannot be played by the ps3 because they will be in pal. if i were you i would try and get a ps3 fro Europe instead that's the safest choice

No i think hes right, PAL is better than NTSC (Never The Same Color!!!) The two use colouring methods and different refresh rates. Some TV's do support both but unless you know i would risk it, don't get one in America if your going back to Israel as if has a problem, it's going to be such a pain in the arse to sort it out. And an 80 gig PS3 is comin out at the the end of August for PAL.
