Volunteer work in Israel/Palestine

Volunteer work in Israel/Palestine?
I'm thinking of visiting Israel/Palestine during the coming summer and trying to find volunteer work that I can do there for about 2-3 weeks. However, it seems that this process has become a lot harder than I originally thought, as I am only 17. Any recommendations for volunteer work I can do as a high school student? Thank you.

For 2-3 weeks, you better take your time and think of having a nice tour instead of working

Why volunteer? just curious but why spend your entire time on a great trip working for no income? anyways if you want volunteer work you could always be an aide at an hospital or nursing home.

Volunteer work is not the issue, the issue is with which side you will volunteer.

I think that the Magen David Adom takes in volunteers that age; though, don't quote me on this. I know they are willing to take me in, but I'm 20 and a college student. Basically, it might be hard for you because it's difficult to travel there as a high school student, and basically live on your own, even if it's for a short amount of time. At least, it's perceived that way by many. Also, while many speak English, it's preferable obviously to speak Hebrew, and if you can't research opportunities in that language then it's obviously harder to find some. What I would do is contact any family or friends you might have there, if you are lucky enough, and see if they know of any opportunities that could be taken advantage of. Or, contact a synagogue, or certain churches, as they probably are aware of things and might have some connections.

Volunteering your time and effort is a great way to help others who are in need. Here are a few great resources: http://www.palestinesummer.org/volunteer http://palsolidarity.org/join http://www.pcrf.net/?page_id=18
