You need to apply in person at the Embassy or the Consulate General in Eilat and must submit: 1. Original Passport รข€“ valid at least 6 months from the date of issuance of the visa and a photocopy 2. The Israel working visa which must be valid for another 6 months beyond your travel and a photocopy 3. One passport size photo attached to the visa application form 4. Proof of reservation of a return flight ticket 5. Bank statement Chinese passport holders need to wait for the approval from the competent authorities in Egypt. The Embassy does not keep your passport/work permit until the approval from Egypt is received since this may take up to six weeks. After approval you will need to provide your passports and pay the visa fee..

May be it will take a quite long time to be approved.

When will Israel stop being the most violent and the most savage country on earth

When will Israel stop being the most violent and the most savage country on earth?
Israel is occupying the land of the Palestinian people since 1948 and when they try to resist this occupation it forces the international media to describe them as terrorists, although everybody knows that it is not wrong to use military action against the one who is occupying your land (even the "founding fathers" of the US did so against Britain). Israel is the only country in this whole world that finds it easy and plausible to demolish buildings while their tenants are still inside, and to launch missile and airplane attacks on civilians in crowded streets. Israel now is punishing 250,000 persons just because three or four of them have kidnapped an Israeli soldier. Israel is a nuclear country yet all of the above indicate that it is not too rational to be kept to be so. Israel's lobby in the USA is forcing many US politicians to work only for Israel's interests disregarding the interests of the USA itself. Israel is the cruelest country in the whold world. Will this end?

The Israelites are the chosen people of God. They took back their land in 1948. Before this generation ends, God will punish everyone who ever wronged them, so be careful what you say.
2 :
i agree completely be careful what u say
3 :
When the Syrians, the Jordanians and the Palestinians realize that killing the Jews will not solve any problems. I don't see any Jewish people turned into human bombs to kill off Palestinians.
4 :
isn't it funny how the israelis and palestinians share common ancestry (who shared the same land) yet each group claims exclusive rights to the dirt. Its dirt, it'll always be dirt, so get over it. Nobody cares about who it used to belong to anymore. What matters is the current state of the world and how to make it better.

UNTILL THE END OF THE WORLD!

Outside observers see that violence continues from both sides. What would you do, if you were born in Israel in the 1950's. If you had always lived there and it had always been your country. How would you react to people who shot missiles at your country and attacked it and bombed it. The violence will never end until both sides want peace enough to give up some other things that are theirs by "right" and that they hold dear. What are you ready to give up for peace?
7 :
No, you got that confused with the US. And after them are us Canadians....once you get everybody in the country drunk off our own booze. PAR-TAY!!! lol
8 :
What planet are you from? Have you read the Bible? Israel belongs to the JEWS which are God's chosen people. They have every right to protect what is thiers. God gave Abraham all of that land years ago and the Islamic people just THINK it's thiers.
9 :
Neither side will stand down unless they want to die or find a new home far away.

You are really uninformed and have only heard one side of the story. Neither group is 100% right all the time, but the Palestinians give wrong facts very often. They also teach their children that these wrong facts are true. The truth is, the land that Israel occupies was barely used before the Israelis took it. The land was poorly managed and unusable for farming at the time. The Israelis however fixed this land and made it very usable. I'm also pretty sure that the Israelis at first welcomed the Palestinians and the Palestinians simply left willingly. However, the other Arab countries wouldn't and won't accept the Palestinians! Also, many maps just show a small area of land just including Israel and the Palestinian lands. However, when looking at a larger map, Israel is just a small country about the size of New Jersey surrounded by many huge Arab countries. Hopefully someday both side will simply forgive each other and make peace.
11 :
If only it was that simple. Did you ever consider the fact that Israel's army is dressed like and they act like a military. They are straight forward military. The people they are fighting are using children and others to walk into a crowded market and blowing themselves up. How do you tell who is an "innocent civilian" and who is a militant? It would be great to have peace in the middle east. If everyone would quit vocalizing that they want Israel irradicated from the face of the earth and blowing up people in the middle of crowds, maybe Israel would stop. The difference between a military and terrorists is primarily in HOW they fight. Terrorist tend to fight underhandedly, essentially cheating.

The Bible states that land was given to the Jews by God, period. google search, and read the book 'Jerusalem Countdown' to learn more about the extremely volatile situation in this region of the world.

I'm half Jewish. My mother is Jewish, but father isn't so I'm not considered Jewish by my own family. The Jews have been the most persecuted race on the planet for the last century. They did not bring this on themselves, but this could have been a reaction to the Nazi reign in Europe. Maybe they just wanted to be sure this ethnic cleansing never happened to their people again. But to stick a country inside of the place where the most anti Semitic race of Muslims may prove to be a mistake if one of the rouge nations manufactures a Nuclear warhead. Extremist Muslims are twisted and warped, but they are highly intelligent (unlike extremist Christians). These extremist Muslims are much worse than the Kamikazes. The Soviet Army in Afghanistan proved there is no way to beat people who will send an innocent child with explosives strapped to his body and his stuffed animal into a crowd of soldiers. No way to win this War with brute force. Israel has made strides to make it right with Palestinians and if the Palestinians are going to keep taking and not compromising, there will be no winner. There will be more annihilation of both ethnicitys.
14 :
I have my doubts that Israel is the cruelest country in the whole world for many reasons. You cite they have demolished buildings with people inside and launch missile attacks on civilians in crowded streets - you don't mention the missile attacks directed at them, nor the suicide bombers who self destruct in busy places with the goal of taking as many of those innocent people with them as possible, including children. Whether the land belongs to Palestinians or not is something beyond me - but again, since 1948 could not the Palestinians have settled somewhere and made a new home for their descendants rather than to continue battling and teaching their children to do the same? I know Israel has offered parts of the land to the Palestinians but they have refused, not wanting to share it. That's just incredible that people would prefer to continue this horrible battle than to settle down in the same land they're battling for. I believe when Israel has launched missile attacks on civilians it is in response to attacks they have already received by those who attempt to hide among crowds to do their deeds. I am not Jewish, nor Arabic but viewing this from a distance, I don't see the cruelty you see except as a response to cruelty directed on them. It's been time decades ago for the Palestinians to accept what is and go forward instead of living in a dream that doesn't exist. I believe it is all about stubbornness and hatred. There really is enough land in the middle east for everyone. Why fight over a small area like that? I'm sorry that the Palestinians were left homeless, but people were given brains and physical stamina to redo their lives in spite of whatever wrongs may come to them. We all have painful hurts and losses in our lives and we try to forget and move forward. If only the Palestinians would do that, peace could prevail and people could learn to live a better life without constant threat and death.

thay no more violent /savage than the yanks
16 :
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Sorry.
17 :
Yes I agree there should be peace bewteen the two and that Israel is handling this problem wrong but the Palestinians attacked first (the first day Israel was a country actually) and I doubt they would have given back any land they had gained if they had won.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.

I'm glad your answer is still open after today's news when Syria and Iran was in charge for killing and kidnapping more Israelis solider (after Israel pulled out of Lebanon in year 2000). They sending poor Palestinians and Lebanonis to kill themselves by promise them money and 700 virgin women in the next world. Do you really believe if you blow yourself God or muhamad will give you a prize? I guess you do, that's why you asking this kind of question. Watch the video attached and learn(educate) how Israel and the US is helping the world and even you to have a better life. Oh BTW: Israel pulled out of Gaza a year ago to give the Palestinians a chance to build and develop their country, instead the Palestinians use that area to shoot missiles on Israeli cities and kidnapped Israeli citizens.

This is what the Israeli's have been up to, ever since 1955:- http://www.action-for-un-renewal.org.uk/pages/isreal_un_resolutions.htm

yea, real savage. Go there. See wgat its really like. It has been forced to defend itself against attack for years. It attacks those who attack it, even if it sometime errs, what can be expected in the situation it is in. Notice how Israel didn't instigate any war? All it did was form a home in a relatively empty land for a people that ahad been decimated in the oh-so-righteous Europe. Looking for evil? Sudan, Iran, North Korea, ect. Israel is a dimocracy which allows another government to exist within its borders. It attacks those who it beleives are attacking it. What provocation do ANY of these other countrys have. Go there. See the young men and women walking the streets in off-duty soldiers uniforms. think about y israel was forced to mandate a draft, visit it see your supposed "savagery." Pick your battles.

You know, i just stumbled on this post as i was searching for something else. This is very sad. Extremely sad. Middle East will never be in peace if people like you and i will be taking sides and badmouthing each other. I am jewish, however i have many many many arab friends. We live outside Middle East and all this bullshit that goes around there effects us big time. Why cant those countries live in peace. Imagine how else the money that is spent on military can be used. Both countries can fund a brand new research center for cancer and find a cure. I wonder if they know what they are fighting about anymore. Groups such as Hezbollah and ha-mas should be wiped off this planet as they are scum of this earth and because of them this shit happends. Now, whoever started this post, to the author of "when will Israel stop being ...", child, why dint you go to school and educate yourself on history or at least watch the news before you make such statements. Israel has never attacked anyone or anything without being provoked. Thank you all for your attention.

Israelis are mostly ethnically German and Western European and these groups of people tend to be racist. Hell they even radiated Arab Jews because they thought they were dirty in the 1950s and 1960s.
2 :
All I ask is for you to be patient and watch this video. This is how the Palestinian people are affected. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4752349n
3 :
No one believes or accuses Palestinians of having anything to do with the Holocaust. Many are full Israeli citizens that live throughout Israel and are even members of Israeli government. What those who have been given a "Homeland" in Gaza, presumably in exchange for peace, have been doing: firing over 5000 missiles into Israeli towns at citizens over the past few years; in violation of treaties.
4 :
Enormously less than Jews working in Palestine would be by the Arab society. We need societies which are able to create wealth, research, progress, improvement, not just lots of children and fanaticism. To understand better we should always think of the situation reversed: first, Arabs don't offer workplaces to Jews; second, if they did, how long do you think the Jew would survive?

Is israel an unsafe place to do missionary work

Is israel an unsafe place to do missionary work?
I'm asking for people with experience in missions...specifically in the middle east i plan to go to Israel this year as a missionary, during the Pentecost. I'm worried though, because I've been told its not a low risk trip- is it against the law to spread Christianity there? is there a possibility that we will either be executed or killed by extremists? and if so how high is the risk? any info would be great. thanks.

Why don't you think of going to Pakistan or Afghanistan? It will be very safe to do Your dirty job there. After that good experience, you may choose Saudi Arabia followed by other Gulf countries! And being a Missionary, why you are so scared of getting killed by extremists? Jesus will save you. Take courage and go ahead. Book you tickets toi Karachi.
2 :
Israel is a country for Jewish people. Judaism is their religion, not Christianity. Why do you think you are entitled to go there and try to convert them to your belief system? How would you like it if Jews or Muslims constantly harrassed you to convert to their religion? As for your safety, yes there are some extremists there, much l\ike there are elsewhere in the world. Definite risks also, with the possibiility of suicide bombings, and with the middle east being an explosive regioun in general.
3 :
You are so right. It is by and large a violent place even for the Jewish people. Bless them but don't talk about born again around them....Not Wise!
4 :
actually there is a small christian community which are catholics and orthodoxs.. as catholic.. protestants or evangelics are not welcomed to middle east in general.. becuase you want to convert them.. the roman catholic or the orthodox churches are not doing that work, and our communities have been in Israel before the protestantism comes.. so you are not welcomed
5 :
It is a criminal offense in Israel to give or promise anything materialistic to some one in order to change his/her religion. There's also a proposal to make it illegal to preach for conversion. Generally, Jews frown upon missionary work, and there have been some instances of violence against missionaries, especially against those who call themselves "Messianic Jews".
6 :
It isn't a crime to be Christian. In fact, Christianity is very much embraced in Israel. I'm not a missionary, but I've been to Israel, and along the Jordan River, they have baptisms daily with people from all around the world. No-one is going to execute you, unless you take someone hostage, which I sincerely doubt you'd do :) As for risk factors, don't wave a Palestinian flag in the streets, and don't look like you have a bomb. Also, don't try to pass around leaflets about Christianity, or try to convert people - Israelis don't take kindly to that. You should be fine. Have a safe, fun, and productive trip!
7 :
Israel has laws which prevents you from publicly organizing to spread any religion. This includes passing out pamphlets and religious texts for free. This comes from a Jewish tradition to not spread religion, but instead allow only people to come to you, with the belief that people who come to you are sincere about converting. If you want to spread Christianity, it should be done on a more personal level, telling people you know that you think that they should convert. That is legal in Israel. As for the risk factor, there is the chance some of the ultra-religious Haredi or Muslims (depending on who you preach to) will be violent, and attack you. They aren't legally allowed to do this, but they still do, sometimes. Otherwise, you could be arrested for trying proselytizer potential converts. Since Israel is a democracy, you will receive a fair trial. It is not as high a risk as many other surrounding countries.
8 :
First I would like to know by what authority or bible verse you feel you have a mandate to convert Jews. There are plenty of Christians living there for that. There is need in America. God has his own plan for Israel and it doesn't involve Evangelicals. If you just have to go somewhere and spread the word stand outside any school in America they sure aren't getting any there. The country is going to Atheist and Pagans. But you need to save Israel? I suggest you learn more of your Old Testament before you take on the Jews.
9 :
Nope,Israel is rated number 4 among the top five most dangerous places on Earth. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1090160.html Next to Angola and Somalia.
10 :
forget it, that society is not that tolerant, or open minded to others beliefs, some people are real whack jobs. protesting because a car park opened! haha gets me everytime.
11 :
As my friend once put it, why target other monotheists when there are many polytheists out there?
12 :
As other people already stated; why are you going so far away anyway dear? I mean there must be evangelists in that country, maybe not that much, but I am nearly sure they exist. So helping your own nation seems like a wiser idea. And also another point of view, I live in Turkey and we have evangelists around here too and as far as I know, they can do their thing quite safely, but what I noticed about this issue is; evangelists who are nationals of that country (who speaks the language, who knows the culture, etc) tend to be more succesful in that thing they do (giving leaflets or CDs, answering questions, knowing where they should go on talking and when they should stop it and more listen etc.). People tend to believe in them but not a foreigner also :) You know it is just an idea, but it may lead you somewhere...
13 :
i personally would be more worried about what israelis will do to you than anything else. .. Us jews had 2000 years of forced conversion, conversion attempts that are still going on today in the form of jews for jesus etc ... ISRAEL IS A JEWISH COUNTRY.. jews go there because they want to live a fully jewish life - in a jewish country, under jewish law.. away from the discrimination and conversion attempts of other countries... There are laws in israel against preaching on the street and israelis in general really dont take kindly to conversion attempts... especially in more religious areas... us israelis can be very blunt and far more direct and in your face than in other countries.and youll find that there are a lot of people who wont be afraid at all to tell you what they think of you trying to convert them .. not only that but its likely that if you are caught preaching youll be put in jail or deported. neither will be a pleasant experience. .. to add to that , there is the security situation and areas where you will - as foreigners be at a higher risk of kidnapp etc... its not as bad as places like afghanistan - but some areas are very dangerous... and if you think israeli jail would be bad... it will be nothing compared to staying at the pleasure of hamas terroristss... my advice - come to israel - its a beautifull place... but please respect the faith of the people and the country and leave the conversion and preaching behind... surely t hat is a better way to express your faith ???
14 :
You can do it only if you don't mind getting spit on or getting rocks thrown at you or getting yelled at. Believe me that's what you're going to get from israelis. No mercy.
15 :
i doubt you would be killed but i highly suggest you don't, you do know a lot of Jewish people especially in Israel really don't like when people try to convert them. like I'm sure you don't like when people try to convert you. since Israel is a democracy I'm sure its against the law to kill someone. but if you are I'm sure you'll be glad to know they might be punished (if they're caught of course) :) you really shouldn't go. Israel is a Jewish state but not everyone is Jewish and it is not against the law to spread Christianity but like i said before - don't go they will not appreciate it
16 :
The law here states that you cannot offer anything to anyone in exchange for conversion of their beliefs. A little while ago, the mormons came here offering for Jews to move to the states and be given houses and jobs after converting. So if you really think you can sway or beliefs simply by reading to us, go right ahead. It's not like you'll get any better results just knocking on peoples' doors. But be forewarned. If you run into me, I would be I could sit you down and talk you into giving up your missionary work. My count for that is already at 4 with probably another dozen or so still pondering their belief structure.
17 :
Israel is safe, as long as you don't enter the West Bank, Gaza strip or any town 40 km from the Gaza strip.I would advise against proselytizing in Israel because proselytizing any type of religion in Israel is illegal due to the fact that it instigates violence. But it is not illegal to practice Christianity in Israel.
