Hmm... No, I don't think so. It's fine if you did not go to school in Israel, but it is necessary to speak Hebrew. It's kind of like, in Israel, there are lots of people who speak English, just like in the US there are lots of people who speak Spanish, but if you wanted to work in the US, you would have to learn English, right? Anyway, Israel has several intensive Hebrew language programs for new immigrants so they can settle into Israeli society. And contrary to popular belief, Hebrew is not a very difficult language to learn.

Once you migrate to Israel, you will have to first learn Hebrew, which all new immigrants do. There are programs designed just for you. Once you have learned Hebrew, you would have to get a licence in order to become a doctor. Exams will be necessary of course. Sincerely, Ms. Miche ; })

The below link gives more details. A medical professional who meets the requirements may certainly practice here, but s/he must be issued a Department of Medical Professions/ Ministry of Health license. Obviously, this applies to someone who graduated from a recognized 6 year medical program as well as 1 year of rotating internship ("stag"); the internship requirement may also be fulfilled in Israel. (For a practicing intern from abroad in a "straight" internship, the rotating internship requirement in Israel may be waived.) One applies for a license at the local district Health Office. http://www.hagshama.org.il/en/resources/view.asp?id=389
