Israel is occupying the land of the Palestinian people since 1948 and when they try to resist this occupation it forces the international media to describe them as terrorists, although everybody knows that it is not wrong to use military action against the one who is occupying your land (even the "founding fathers" of the US did so against Britain). Israel is the only country in this whole world that finds it easy and plausible to demolish buildings while their tenants are still inside, and to launch missile and airplane attacks on civilians in crowded streets. Israel now is punishing 250,000 persons just because three or four of them have kidnapped an Israeli soldier. Israel is a nuclear country yet all of the above indicate that it is not too rational to be kept to be so. Israel's lobby in the USA is forcing many US politicians to work only for Israel's interests disregarding the interests of the USA itself. Israel is the cruelest country in the whold world. Will this end?

Yes, It will indeed end. You and I both know there is only one solution to this Israeli problem..... You gotta find a good way to round all the Israelis up and march them all directly into the Mediterranean Sea, where they belong. As soon as ya'll figure out how to do that...you guys will end all your problems and get all that juicy land back. It's that simple.

Though I strongly doubt you really want an answer to your rant I shall give you one anyways. First, the currently incursion into Gaza is not about 1 solider hostage, nor is it about 4 that were killed in the hostage taking. It is about what the Palestinians did after Israel pulled out and left it under Palestinian authorities control. Since you did not mention the shelling of civilians in Israel, I will have to and provide links. Israel had left the territory and immediately rockets started to fly into Civilian lands. The reason for the current incursion is to remove these weapons and destroy their ability to build more. But please don't let the fact get in the way of your hatred.

Like it or not this is going to happen no matter what is said. The fact is that there are more Jews in Israel now than Palestinians. Not to say that this makes the violence right but it is a country that now belongs to both peoples in the region. It is not unbalanced like S. Africa or how India was before WWII where the people in power were the minority. The Jews and Palestinians are both the people of Israel and this transition will not be easy. The African Americans in this country are culturally seperated from the Caucasion Americans and will probably not see eye to eye in my lifetime, but again that is the way it is, and this country is pretty rough itself.

I think you are thinking from a very narrow perpective. If people kicked all your people out of your country not once, but TWICE, and drove you to Eastern Europe (No Jews in England anymore) murdered six million of your kind (WW2), you'd be unhappy too. No one wanted the rest of the JEws around after WW2 was over. So they decided to give them their own country so they wouldn't bother anyone else. Thus, Israel was created. Everyone whines about the Muslims. "What about the poor Muslims that want their land back? They are so POOR. It's so unfair." Let's be reasonable. Muslims can live anywhere, and they do. There are many Muslim countries. But the Jews have ONE PLACE, and they can't even have that quietly and peacefully. You've be annoyed too, wouldn't you? Here, read this about why the Jews need their own place. I'm not for segragation, but I think it really sad we get so much crap.

I only write this to respond to escapefrom springfields post . The Israelies are not responding to home made rocket attacks. The rockets are respnding to an illegal and brutal military occupation. Also how is it respnding to a rocket attack what so ever to blow up a family on a beach with a gun ship and bomb bidges and factories? How again could rockets be fired at soldiers if the soldiers were not invading their country. I guess the American Indains were terrorists to when they fought and defeated Custer and his army. Custer went and slaughtered women and children at wounded Knee which the American press had the audacity to name the "Battle" of Wounded Knee. In response Crazy Horse killed the American soldiers who did it. And in response to that the US shot the buffalo, starved the Indians and forced them into reservations (akaa refugee camps). Let's imagine if a guy in Virginia went and killed a man in North Carolina say because the North Carolina guy bulldozed his house down for not being the right chosen race of god like he was self proclaimed to be. So after the North Carolina man is killed and his crimes un mentioned, The state of North Carolina (which is a carolinian state) responds to this guy in Virginia buy just bombing Richmond and killing families in Virginia beach with gun boats after all they are all non-carolinians, it doesn't matter if they didn:t do anything. That is how ridiculous Israel is.

Israel is defending itself. The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel. Hey, here's an idea, why don't the Arabs get these 4th generation refugees and incorporate them into their society? 4th GENERATION?!? That would never happen in a developed nation, including Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

Who gave this land to Palestine? They can not even manage the land they have without aide, how would they manage all of the territory? Why does Palestine feel they need all of the land? If they would settle themselves to peace and stop the terrorists actions and kidnappings, this would all end. Those that promote fear will live in it.
