How does Israel's democratic system work in terms of procedure and representation?

There's 1 voting region. Every one vote for a list (party). The number of seats each list gets is number of valid votes it got divided by 120 (the number of seats). Fractions in that number are "traded" between the lists before the election. After the votes are counted, the president appoints the head of one of the lists (the one most likely to be able to form a coalition) to form a government (usually it's the list with the most votes, but not always). if he/she can't (happened in the last elections) the president appoints head of another list to do so. If he/she can't either, there are new elections (never happened before).
