Is there any American companies in Israel that a US citizen can work for without Israeli citizenship

Is there any American companies in Israel that a US citizen can work for without Israeli citizenship?
I am living in Israel for over a year on extended tourist visas while I am in the process of applying for temporary residency. I would like to work, legally, is it possible?

If you are Jewish I think you can get citizenship. Other than that, sorry, I think you need to follow Israeli immigration laws. Foreign companies can't just bring foreign people here without visas, that I do know.

Their are plenty of American companies that do business in Israel. Often times they use locals, but I imagine they have positions for Americans as well. It all depends on your job experience and work skills. Search for jobs that you are qualified for.

Has Senator Obama stated Israel may strike Iran if sanctions fail

Has Senator Obama stated Israel may strike Iran if sanctions fail?
Presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) purportedly told House Democrats in a private meeting Tuesday that Israel may strike Iran if sanctions on the country fail to prevent development of nuclear technology. Obama told the caucus, according to an attendee, "Nobody said this to me directly but I get the feeling from my talks that if the sanctions don’t work Israel is going to strike Iran." Others in the room recall this as well. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/07/obama-to-house.html MORE: Now that the Bush administration is engaged in diplomatic efforts with Iran, many Israeli officials are worried the US is getting soft on Iran, prompting Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak to travel to the US this week to meet with Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley. Barak's office released a statement saying "a policy that consists of keeping all options on the table must be maintained." Another attendee at the meeting of House Democrats recalls Obama saying that the good news is that Obama got the sense that the Arab states understand just how destabilizing a nuclear Iran would be -- a "game changer," Obama said -- because they know Israel would probably strike and that would be bad for everyone.

Israel stated that, and regardless of what Obama or McCain says, Israel is an independent country that will act how it wants to without reflecting on our presidential candidates.

The Iranian president seems like a nice guy-as long as we keep being nice and talking to him everything should turn out fine. Israel is evil and need's to give all the land they have won during Arab aggression back to the Arabs so they can be attacked again. (I'm trying to think like a liberal) Back to thinking like a rational person.---I have two bottles of champagne set aside for the day Israel takes care of the Iranian nuclear problem.

I still don't understand why Iran is a threat to Israel. Israel wants to be the only power in the middle east, isn't that it?? Obama never stated what ur writing

How does a Russian living in Israel come to the USA and work on a tourist visa

How does a Russian living in Israel come to the USA and work on a tourist visa?
How does a Russian living in Israel come to the USA and work on a tourist visa? I have a friend who is traveling to the USA from Israel and would love to stay about a year and work here too. Are there any stipulations or regulations we need to know of? Also is an international driver's license valid anywhere in the United States? If anybody knows of anything helpful or who to contact it would be most appreciated. Thanks!!!

The person who wants to come to the USA must go to the American Consulate to get all the visa information. A person who has a tourist visa may not work here in the USA. As for the drivers license check with your state's DMV to get more info on the subject.
2 :
If your friend is coming on a tourist visa, then he is prohibited from working. Work is not what a tourist visa is for. Also, a tourist visa does not last a year. It usually only lasts 6 months.

No way! Enough violations of immigration laws and visa regulations to get him deported and barred. Tourist visas are only for tourism, vacations. He has to prove he has sufficient funds for all the "typical tourist" expenses: round-trip ticket, hotels, restaurant meals, sightseeing, and all the rest. He also has to prove he has such strong ties to his own country that he would be compelled to return home. Tourists are limited in their time here (typically 30 days max, with exceptions for Visa Waiver countries' citizens), and strictly forbidden to work. Only employers can apply for employment visas. Even if he had the education and expertise to qualify for a visa, nobody is hiring these days. The real unemployment rate is 22% and 31 million Americans are desperately searching for work. No jobs in the US for him. He does not even live in his own country now - no compelling ties there. Even if he has enough money for a vacation in the US, he probably will not qualify for and obtain a tourist visa.

Pick a visa ... your plans are not possible you cannot get a tourist visa for a year.. nor can you work on a tourist visa There are basically NINE ways that you can get a visa to live and work in the US: (1) Marriage (or engagement in anticipation of marriage) to a US citizen. (2) You have skills that are in short supply in the US e.g. scientific or medical training. A degree is normally a must. Or you have superior specialist skills with at least 12 years experience. (H visas) (3) You have an Employer who is willing to transfer you - but even the employer has to make a good case for you - so you have to be a manager unless you fall under category (2) above.(L visas) (4) You may get a Green card in the diversity lottery (UK citizens, except N.Ireland, are not generally eligible unless you, your spouse or parents were born abroad or held a different citizenship. (5)You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. no green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas) (6)You are an "investor" i.e. you have at least US $1m in assets to bring with you. half of that in a few areas. And your background will be investigated to the hilt. (EB-5 visas) (7)You have a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister and no further) who is an US citizen who would sponsor you, approx time this take 2-12 years? (8.The R1 visa is available to foreign members of religious denominations, having bona fide non-profit religious organizations in the U.S., for entering the U.S. to carry on the activities of a minister or religious worker as a profession, occupation or vocation (9)THE UNUSUAL You are in a position to claim refugee status/political asylum. or You get a member of Congress to sponsor a private bill with legislation that applies just to you. The S visa issued to persons who assist US law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes and terrorist activities such as money laundering and organized crime Recruitment agent will not take you seriously if you are not already in the US. Writing for jobs is really a waste of time; likewise US employers have no idea what foreign qualification are or mean (except Degrees) it may pay you to get your qualification translated into a US equivalent, there are Companies that do this (www.wes.org) .. But if you are getting a visa under (2) above then you need a job offer before you can get the visa. Your Employer will be your sponsor this will cost them upward of $5k. So you can see you have to be offering something really special to get considered They may also have to prove to the Dept of labor that there is no American who can do the job if the position is to be permanent ©
5 :
they can't. no one who come into the US can work on a tourist visa. they might be able to find an employer willing to sponsor them and file papers, depending on their education, experience and language skills. but that would take a while, if it happens at all. there are skilled worker petitions, h1bs, which is defined as work requiring a university degree or its equivalent in training and experience.

Well... legally he is not allowed to work, but if he gets a job - and he surely would be able to find some cash job in New York/Brooklyn - he may work! There are a lot of people who don't have work permit and work, even pay taxes and file for refund! I am serious. You friend will be OK. As far as i understand your friend doesn't expect to be hired as a white collar worker. Right? then he should be fine.
