Is it true that you cannot use American shampoo in other countries (Israel specifically)

Is it true that you cannot use American shampoo in other countries (Israel specifically)?
I've heard many people say that American shampoo isn't formulated for Israeli water and therefore doesn't work in Israel. I for one have trouble believing this. Is it true? Has anyone busted this myth? Please cite sources if you have any! Thanks!

USA is big and has varying climates and waters, so I don't get it. Sounds like a Palestinian propaganda to me. They want to say that even the water of the Zionists is evil and treacherous (and has special microbes in it that attack products manufactured by "goyim" (it goes without saying that these microbes were developed by the Mossad)). But it isn't a very successful propaganda, because the Zionists benefit from it (you'll have to buy their Shampoo!).

Water is water. There are not nationalities affixed to waters. However, there may be issues with bringing in a tube or bottle of shampoo that makes it much easier to purchase the shampoo while inside Israel rather then taking it through customs into Israel.
