the xbox360 was bough in the US. i'm curently living in Israel. when turned on, i can hear all the sound, the controlers work, but no picture shows up on the tv.

Its the version of the console like the Wii console they are all in diferent consoles for every continent around. Check if your TV is PAL or HD. Because the Xbox has compatible with TVs that is for US.
