hey guys.. i wanted to buy a ps3 here in america but in israel (my home), i have a PAL format TV So... will the US PS3 work with my PAL tv?? cause the SONY worker at the store said it wont... but i think hes stupid>... so.. will US Ps3 work with a PAL tv??? thx

best thing is not to buy the ps3 because if your TV is Pal it means it's refresh rate is 24 hertz and the ntsc ps3 will output images at 30 hertz so it will be out of sync. also Blur ray movies are nor region coded so those may work and the games should work to but any dvd's you own cannot be played by the ps3 because they will be in pal. if i were you i would try and get a ps3 fro Europe instead that's the safest choice

No i think hes right, PAL is better than NTSC (Never The Same Color!!!) The two use colouring methods and different refresh rates. Some TV's do support both but unless you know i would risk it, don't get one in America if your going back to Israel as if has a problem, it's going to be such a pain in the arse to sort it out. And an 80 gig PS3 is comin out at the the end of August for PAL.
