i'm just wondering how does the policy of guns work in israel? can anyone have guns to protect themselves? can you illegally obtain guns? are there any debates with guns in israel at the moment? i know the members of the IDF keep guns but for i'm talking about normal civilians.. thanks! i am not talking about the arabs.... yes violence between jews in israel, if any....

no, normal civilians don't have guns.. why should they have guns anyway?? when muslims attach israel, they only attack the army. so don't worry, if u r not in army, muslims won't kill u ^-^ myb other israeli people would kill u~ and if u r thinking that way, u must bring a gun. in normal cases, people go to police station to take the permission to buy a gun. and this will be legal. note for the next answerer, I'm not into news alot, but I know that Islam forbids to harm/hurt/kill any one who's not in the war, including women, children, eldiries and men who r not in the army. so if a muslim does something like this deliberately, he did something wrong and he must be punished.

It's not easy for a civilian to get a gun permit. There's a closed list of reasons why you might be permitted to get a permit, and when the reason is no longer applicable you can no longer hold a gun. Obviously, obtaining guns illegally, is illegal. Note to previous answerer - In the several past confrontations Arab countries have shown problem targeting civilians deliberately.

Every Israeli owns an MTAR or an Uzi! I mean they just have to have something to fight those "evil filthy satanic terrorists" ....which btw would not even exist if it wasn't for Israeli occupation. Right Israelis....???
