I realise the blockade has had many negative effects on the civilians of Gaza. On the other hand, has the blockade worked for Israel in that it decreased the number of attacks from Hamas or Gaza? (I realise that the blockade has increased diplomatic and international criticism against Israel, but that is not the question)

Yes it did. It also increased extremism and potential Hamas membership looking for revenge.

It decreased the armed raids into Israel and the suicide bombs drastically. It has also decreased the number of missiles fired into Israel.

Well.. having a negative effect on terrorists is kind of the point of the whole blockade.

Hamas will always be shooting missles into Israel. But the media will NOT report on it! They are too "tingling" over the terrorists, they will make them look good.
